MANILA, Philippines – Actress Andrea Brillantes clarified her relationship status, saying she and Sam Fernandez are dating but not officially together yet.

During an interview on “TV Patrol” on March 10, Brillantes addressed the growing speculation about her love life, particularly after she was seen with basketball player Sam Fernandez at her event last March 7.

Confirmed: She’s Dating, But Keeping It Private

Brillantes confirmed she is dating someone but emphasized that her partner is a private, non-showbiz personality.

When asked if it was the same person who gave her a bouquet of pink roses on Valentine’s Day, she responded, “Yes, and he’s also not a basketball player. He used to play.”


Longtime Friendship Turned Romance?

Although she did not mention Fernandez by name, social media has been abuzz with their rumored romance since they were spotted together on February 14. Fernandez was seen carrying the Valentine’s Day flowers during what appeared to be a date with Brillantes.

Days later, the two were seen holding hands at an event in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, fueling further speculation.

Brillantes, however, clarified, “I’ve known him for a while. We’ve been friends for many, many years. Not yet in a relationship. I’m just dating.”

For now, it seems the actress is taking things slow, leaving fans eagerly watching for what’s next in her love life.
